The Chase Corporation, a leading manufacturer of industrial coatings and other protective materials, was initiating a safety awareness program for their employees, specifically those who work in factories and warehouses where the need for safety precautions is higher.
The safety program had a name, but it needed a logo.
WHAT WE DID
We created a simple-yet-elegant graphic image of a hard hat to immediately communicate the logo’s meaning. We used the blue from the company’s main logo for the type treatment. That way the viewer makes the connection between the company and it’s safety program. Then we chose complementary colors for the hard hat, which contain a subtle hint of orangish-red to convey a calm sense of urgency.
The logo was used on printed materials, T-shirts, banners in factories and warehouses, and even imprinted on a mug sitting on the president of the company’s desk.
